4 days after my ten mile run I finally got back to the gym. The day after my run, I was in agony. I couldn't walk up and down stairs.. I looked a right old sight! I've also had pain in my left my hip so I have now invested in some compression shorts as well as the calf support I now wear. I think by the time the marathon comes around, Im going to be in full compression body armour!
Today I did a flat out session on the cross trainer, easily upping my resistance on both interval levels and completing this with ease. I then went on to the treadmill. I noticed the twinging in my hip but also noticed that this passed if I took a longer stride.
I realised today that I really am not a pretty sight when I leave the gym. You could put me on top of a cliff and guide the boats in!
