Training Day 29 - 17.1.10

OMG!! Woweeeeeeeeeee!  I went on an outdoor run today.... and I can't believe the results!  When I first started running I didn't think I was even going to make it to the end of the Roman Road that I ran along last time.  The air was cold and it caught my breath and hurt my chest. However once I warmed up I seemed to just not be able to stop running! Even when I felt like I couldn't go on, I couldn't walk for more than 30 seconds because my legs were clearly in running mode!  I walked 4 times all together during my run, for just enough time to have a gulp of water.  After I made it to the end of Roman Road, I just kept running and found my way back home! This included a fair bit of hill work too!  My Husband was supposed to come back and meet me somewhere in the car, but I made it Home before he got to me!

Now here comes the good bit - I Ran for 6.35 miles according to my Nike Sensor and I ran at approximately 8 m/ph and ran for 49 minutes!  I can't believe it and this achievement feels so Amazing!  3 Months ago I struggled to run for 1.5 minutes! Now I can run for nearly an hour!  I just can't describe how awesome it feels!  I feel very proud!

Here is a map of my run. After having tracked my route It seems I only ran 5 miles not the 6.35 that my Nike sensor states. I dont know if this is because whilst plotting my route, i haven't been accurate around corners etc? Who knows!

P.s. I am now aching in places I never knew existed and look like I have been sat in the sun for 3 days solid... Very Red indeed!!!
