Training Day - I've lost count now! 12.04.10

Due to the complications with my children and their various childhood bugs etc, I have now lost count on my training days! I recovered from my 15 mile run very quickly, I coudl barely walk the following day but on the Saturday I was fine again; I was very surprised at this.

Today at the gym I pushed myself to almost double my interval training time. Interval training for those who dont know is:

"Interval training is a type of physical training that involves bursts of high intensity work. This high intensity work is alternated with periods of rest or low activity (the intervals in interval training).

The term can refer to any cardiovascular workout (e.g. cycling, running, rowing, etc.) that involves brief bouts at near-maximum exertion interspersed with periods of lower-intensity activity." - wikipedia

I have found that the interval training I have been doing throughout my entire period of training for the marathon has grately conditioned my body to endure the long distance running but has also conditioned my mental strength to push myself onwards.
