Ive been extremely busy for the past week so I haven't been able to update my blog but I have still be training very hard! Todays session was my BEST EVER on the treadmill... I did High Speed Interval training running both intervals. I noticed that I didn't even get out of breath until about 23 minutes into the running, which I was very impressed about! I have been through so much pain, sweat, tears and hardwork to get to this level of fitness and I've done it without a training partner or fitness coach. Just through my own personal motivation and through the support of my family, friends and all the people who are following my progress.
It still amazes me that only in october last year, running for 1.5 minutes with 3 minute walks in between, 8 times, felt like my body was gonna colapse! and now, im not even getting out of breath on solid interval training until 2/3 of the way into it!
I was admiring my calf muscles and thighs the other day, the muscle and strength in them is fantastic! Maybe slightly butch looking now because the mucsle is building, but hey... runners legs is what they are becomming :) They look pretty damn good in a pair of heels, even if I do say so myself! (shame about my belly, i'll work on that after the marathon! teehee!).
Well with only 5 weeks to go I am dissappointed that I am only 25 percent towards reaching my 2k target. The local paper are going to run an article on me next week, so Im hoping that will generate more sponsors. Its hard for me to get out there and fundraise as I have 2 children and a business and household to run ,on top of the training I have been doing. Cancer is something that effects everyone at some point or another so please, if you havent already done so, all I ask is that you donate just £1.00 towards the target. Lots of £1.00 donations will help raise the £2000 for cancer reasearch and help towards preventing this illness for future generations.
I will be aiming to run 15miles this Sunday.
