Dublin 2010 - Training in Progress.

Its been a fair few weeks since I've updated this blog so those of you following are probably wondering if I've kept up my training, and the answer is YES! In the past few weeks, I have been through some experiences and am now training for this next marathon as a single parent on top of launching a new business and continuing my current one, so this one for sure is going to be a massive challenge but one I am really looking forward to. I have the support of my friends and family,  and the cause I am running for this time "help for heros" is a massive one and I feel priveledged to be supporting them.

Well onto the training; It has been hard to find the time to train but I have been squeezing it in! And now am back to a regular training pattern. I did notice that my usual training had become very easy and that my legs didn't even ache after my runs. After trying various methods of increasing my endurance and stamina I found the most suitable option for me was to increase the incline and speed on which I run on the treadmill, and am now back to feeling the aching in my legs.  I hope to be back out on the road this weekend and back to running my ten mile runs.  Im delighted that whilst training and eating sensibly I have now lost the 10lb i gained in the build up to the marathon and more... at a nice weight of 8 stone 9, which also makes training much easier!

I hope you will all continue to support me on the next leg of my marathon journey. My fundraising tactics will be in the form of online sponsorship but more so I am going to use other fun fundraising methods, so watch this space for photos and updates.
